Summer 2023
Lexi and Josh had been together for nearly 10 years before their wedding. ‘He worked in a bar in Plymouth with my housemate,’ said Lexi, ‘and he came home one night and somehow never left!’
‘We decided – actually I told him – to get married on the M5 just outside Bristol on the way home from visiting my family in Birmingham.’
The stage was set for the perfect wedding. Lexi had always wanted the ‘English rose’ vibe and St Elizabeth’s House with its beautiful gardens, personality, exclusive use and accommodation for the family was the perfect venue. In fact it was the only venue the couple visited before making the decision!
Lexi’s stunning gown in delicate pink with stunning applique details was from Brides of Solihull. Her woodland fairy look was by Adele Hack at Wedding Hair Plymouth/SouthWest and her flower crown was made by Wildflower Floristry of Plymouth, who also provided her bouquet, along with accent flowers and table centres. Mrs Browns Plymouth made the gorgeous wedding cake (check that cake topper!), along with a whole table of delicious goodies.
Plymouth Registration Service conducted the formalities on one of the hottest days of the year, which sent some guests scurrying into the shade as soon as the ceremony was over. Others guests spent the afternoon playing lawn games before partying the night away to music by the Busketeers.
Congratulations to Lexi and Josh… and thanks to them and Louise Richey Photography for giving us a peek at their perfect day!
