A DREAM COMES TRUE FOR LACEY LOU

Louise Lacey can’t remember a time when she didn’t want to have her own bridal company.
When she was 15 she took textiles as a GCSE and spent most of her evenings designing and sketching the wedding dresses she aimed to make one day. When she took time off from planning her future in the bridal industry, Louise’s preference was always a James Bond film.
So when she took her first steps into the bridal market just a few months ago by founding accessories company Lacey Lou, she decided to combine her passion for the wedding industry with her love for 007 to create a styled shoot.
Louise said: ‘I chose Holne Park House near Ashburton as the ideal venue and location. The house is magnificent and set in 90 acres of beautiful gardens in the Dartmoor National Park. And my fabulous model was Tamsin. We have been friends since I was 19 and she has shared all my bridal dreams through the years. She was always the model I wanted on the shoot, bringing her glamour, beauty and confidence to the role of Bond Girl.’
After seeing Snapdragon Photography’s work on Instagram, Louise chose Kayleigh as her photographer for the shoot for the shoot. ‘I knew she would capture the classic beauty and elegance I was looking for,’ she said.
Elegance was the watchword for the hair and make-up too. Justine Olver was the MUA, creating a natural yet elegant look, while
Anna Lofthouse of The Lighthouse Hair worked Hollywood magic with waves and updoes.
Jodie Coulthard makes Exquisite bespoke jewellery, including earrings, necklaces and rings came from Jodie Coulthard’s collection and
Rachel from The Ashburton Flower Boutique provided the perfect wedding bouquet. Louise said: ‘Rachel knew exactly the colour palette I wanted when I asked her to be part of the shoot. The bouquet was  beautifully arranged and the right size to complement the bridal style.’
And the finishing touch was a classic red, convertible Triumph Stag, lovingly provided by Stephen and Rob from Devon Classic Wedding Cars.
‘The whole shoot was a dream come true,’ said Louise. ‘I wanted to work with local and new companies, giving everyone the opportunity to showcase their work, skills and expertise.
‘They’re all people like myself who have always had dreams about working within the wedding industry and are now making those dreams come true.’
